The Crumb Lab is a static website. We don't collect personal data, require sign-ups, or use tracking cookies. This policy describes the minimal data our tools and third-party services handle.
Information We Collect
Browsing data: Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) records your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit for logging purposes. This data is stored in daily logs and retained for 7 days.
Baking Calculator: When you adjust flour ratios, hydration levels, or schedule times on the calculator page, those values are saved to your browser's local storage. No data is sent to a server. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser data.
Recipe Loading: When you click "Load in Calculator" from the recipe book, the selected recipe's parameters are stored in local storage and carried over to the calculator page — all within your browser.
Third-Party Services
Google AdSense: We use Google AdSense to display ads. Google may use cookies and web beacons to serve relevant ads based on your browsing activity across sites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at google.com/settings/ads.
Tailwind CSS (CDN): We load Tailwind CSS from a CDN. Your browser caches this resource. No data is sent back to us.
Google Fonts: Fonts are loaded from Google's servers. Your IP address and the requesting site are sent to Google when fonts are fetched.
Font Awesome: Icons are loaded from a CDN. No personal data is collected.
Unsplash Images: Recipe and article images are served directly from Unsplash's CDN. Your IP address and the image URL are sent to Unsplash when loaded.
Cookies
Essential cookies: We use browser local storage for the baking calculator. No session or tracking cookies are used.
Third-party cookies: Google AdSense and Google Fonts may set their own cookies in your browser for ad targeting and font delivery.
Analytics
We use Cloudflare's built-in analytics for traffic data. This includes page views, referrers, and geographic distribution based on IP address. No user-level tracking is performed.
Your Rights
Access: View your calculator settings by opening the baking tool — all saved values are displayed.
Delete: Clear your browser's local storage to remove all saved calculator data. Delete cookies via your browser settings for third-party services.
Opt-out: Disable personalized ads at google.com/settings/ads. Use browser settings to block or limit cookies.
Children's Privacy
The Crumb Lab is suitable for all ages. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
